Building a Routine:

Week 2: Establishing Your Routine

Dear Beloved Client,

Great job on completing your first week! This week, we'll build on that foundation..

What to Expect:

  • Continued adjustment to your medication

  • Maintaining and improving your new habits

Symptom Management:

  • Ginger and Peppermint: Continue using ginger tea or chews for nausea and peppermint tea for digestive discomfort.

    • If you need more support, Maureen can prescribe you anti-nausea medication, and she will definitely adjust your dose, so please don’t suffer in silence!

  • Hydration: Keep up your water intake to stay hydrated.

    • Our favorite electrolyte-balancing product is LMNT. It is amazing at helping you stay in balance. Use Maureen's referral link to place your first order and receive a free sample pack!

Lifestyle Changes:

  • Balanced Meals: Plan balanced meals focusing on protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates.

  • Food Journal: Continue your food journal, noting any new foods you introduce and how they affect you. Prompt: “What new foods have you tried this week? How did they make you feel?”

Recipe Suggestions:

Exercise:

  • Increase Walking: Aim to walk for 20 minutes daily. I like wearing my Fitbit or a pedometer to see how many steps I get! Challenge yourself to walk more steps more often!

  • Bodyweight Exercises: Incorporate bodyweight exercises like squats and push-ups (3 sets of 10 each). If you are not already doing weight training, start planning small ways to incorporate muscle resistance into your day using your body weight.

    • Here is a quick video that talks about the benefits of basic calisthenics and muscle mass. Calisthenics Explained

  • For those of you who are ready for a little more, here is a Beginner 20-minute YouTube Video you can try at home with no equipment: Beginner 20-min Full Body Workout

Mindfulness:

  • Gratitude Journal: Begin a gratitude journal, noting three things you're grateful for each day.

    • Prompt: “List three things you are grateful for today and why.”
